This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use e30empire.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do with it.
E30 Empire is run by E30 Empire Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 17548312. Registered office: 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.
We are the controller of your personal information. That means we decide how it is used and we are responsible for it.
For anything about your information, email [email protected].
Your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, what you bought, the amount paid, any coupon code and the PayPal transaction ID. If you use the PayPal button on a product page, PayPal sends us your name, email address and shipping address, and your phone number if PayPal has it.
We never see your card or bank details. PayPal handles those.
Your name, email address, the price you offer, your message and the item, plus your IP address and browser details.
This covers the request, reserve and “source another” forms: the part you describe, the contact details you give us and your message.
The name you give, your email address if you add it, your messages and any photos you send. The chat also sends us your IP address, an approximate location worked out from it (city, country and internet provider), your device type, browser, screen size, the page you are on and the website that sent you to us.
Your email address and what you write.
We record each page view in our own database: the page, the website that sent you (if any), your country, device type, browser, IP address and a random ID for that visit.
The company that delivers our website also gives us visitor statistics from its own web analytics, which does not use cookies.
Our web server keeps a standard log of requests (IP address, page, time and browser).
UK data protection law lets us use personal information only for a lawful reason. These are ours:
To take, deliver and support your order. Also to deal with an offer, part request or chat message you send us, because you asked us to before buying.
To keep order and accounting records that UK law requires.
To answer questions you send us by email or chat, and to ask for a review after delivery.
To understand which parts people look at and where our visitors come from, using page-view records and visitor statistics.
To keep the website secure and stop misuse of our forms and chat, using IP addresses, browser details and server logs.
To place an order we need your name, email address, phone number and delivery address. Without them we can't take or deliver your order. On our other forms, the details we need are marked.
We only email you about your order (confirmed, shipped, delivered) or about an offer you made (accepted, countered, declined). The delivery email asks if you would like to review us on Trustpilot. We don't send newsletters.
We share only what each organisation needs for its job. We don't sell your information.
Takes your payment. PayPal's payment buttons load on product and checkout pages, so your browser connects to PayPal on those pages. PayPal handles your payment under its own privacy policy.
Delivery companies get your name, address and phone number to deliver your parcel. The customs paperwork that travels with it shows your name, address and what you bought.
The companies that host our website and our database.
The company that delivers our website, protects it from attacks, provides our visitor statistics and forwards email sent to our address.
The service that sends our order and offer emails, and the provider of our support inbox.
A messaging service we use to receive alerts about new orders, offers, part requests and chat messages. The details in those alerts pass through that service.
A service that works out an approximate location from an IP address.
Our homepage shows a rating box from Trustpilot. When it loads, Trustpilot receives your IP address and browser details.
Police, courts or tax authorities, only when the law requires us to.
Our web server is in Germany. Our database is stored in India. We run the business from Amman, Jordan, so your information is accessed there. Some of our service providers, including our email and website delivery providers, are based in the United States. The messaging service we use for alerts and the location lookup service may also process data outside the UK. Your delivery details also go to the country you are shipping to.
The UK recognises Germany, like the rest of the European Economic Area, as having adequate data protection. It recognises the United States only for companies certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. It does not recognise India or Jordan.
Where a transfer is not covered by that recognition, UK law requires other safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, or a legal exception, for example where the transfer is necessary to deliver your order. Email us if you would like to know which applies to a particular transfer or want a copy of the safeguards.
At least six years from the end of the financial year they relate to, as UK tax rules require.
As long as we need them to deal with what you asked and any order that follows.
As long as they help us compare visitor numbers over time.
14 days.
Some information is also saved in your own browser, such as your basket. The cookie policy explains what is saved and how to clear it.
The website only accepts encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Card and bank details are entered with PayPal and never reach us. Our admin area requires a login.
You can ask us to:
Your right to object. You can object at any time to us using your information for our legitimate interests, including page-view records and visitor statistics. We will stop unless we have a strong reason to continue that outweighs your interests, such as dealing with a legal claim.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month. If your request is complex we can take up to two more months, and we will tell you if we need to. It is usually free.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, email [email protected]. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and tell you the outcome.
You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
